A bump in the road, Lets Do It Again, and finally closed!

What a rollercoaster ride these 24 hours have been.  We had a lovely time doing the final walk thru with our PM yesterday.  We were chilling on the porch less than an hour from our closing when my cell rings.  It was the Operations Mgr from NVR.  Calling to let us know we werent closing that day and may not close for a week!  At that point, I was ready to explode!  If youve followed our blog you know we brought up the issue with our address (1800 vs. 1800).  Well our appraisal showed 1802 and not 1800 which was the issue.  Never mind the fact that I brought this up numerous times and two weeks ago my wife emailed our loan processor to try and prevent any closing issues.  We spent the next two hours calling to the highest levels of NVR.
We had to wait an hour before we started  closing, so my wife and I watched Lets Do It Again on my Iphone to keep from going off on someone.  We were able to get closed today, but they are going to get a nice detailed survey from us.  Nevertheless its a wrap!  We are so thankful to finally have our. keys!  I will post pics in a few days.

  3. Congratulations! Our address was wrong on the original paperwork. I better check on this, because we are scheduled to close in 2 weeks. You would think that this would have been caught on their end. Isn't this what they get paid for? There have been too many times that I have had to check up on things that should have been taken care of. Thanks for the info.

    1. Smart move, Maria! With our first townhouse we completed signing of all the paperwork and I noticed the address was slightly off because they re zoned the area giving it a different city name. Well, they had to print everything over and we had to sign everything over!
